Why do I see a $40 hold on my card after renting?

We place a $40 authorization hold to verify your payment method and ensure the power bank is returned. This is not a charge. If you return the charger properly, the hold is released and you only pay the rental fee.

When will the $40 hold be removed?

Once you return the power bank into any EZ Charger kiosk and end the rental session, the hold is released. It usually clears from your available balance in 2-5 business days, depending on your bank’s policy.

Will I be charged $40?

No. This is a temporary pre-authorization only. You are only charged the rental fee (based on time used) unless you keep the charger, in which case the system finalizes the charge.

What happens if I don’t return the charger?

If the charger is not returned within the maximum rental period, the system treats it as lost or not returned and the purchase price may be charged. The $40 hold will be charged to your card.
